FreightHub Logistics arranged a time-critical project to move service equipment from Germany to Qatar for the expansion of Hamad International Airport in Doha. The project comprised 56 pieces with a total weight of 12,092 kg. FreightHub Logistics divided it into two shipments with different preparation requirements.

Two preparation workflows under one project

The first shipment needed warehouse preparation before airline handover. FreightHub Logistics arranged collection using specialized transport and brought the equipment to its warehouse. The team added securing, prepared the packaging for airline requirements, and checked completeness and documentation before sending the cargo to the airport.

The packaging for this shipment was prepared to meet airline requirements and IATA standards.

Warehouse preparation followed by airline acceptance

After the additional securing and packing at the warehouse, the first shipment went to the airport. The carrier accepted it without remarks, and it was dispatched to Doha.

Direct collection and security screening for the second shipment

The second shipment travelled directly from the client's location to the airport. Its workflow included aviation security screening before acceptance, followed by direct air transport to Doha (DOH).

The second booking had guaranteed space and priority handling. The client received updates covering collection, departure and arrival confirmation.

The reported result

FreightHub Logistics reports a total Germany-to-Qatar transit time of six days for the project comprising both shipments, allowing the client to meet the project's deadlines.

Preparing an equipment-shipment enquiry

Provide a package-level list with dimensions and weights, the cargo's function, its current packing condition and any special handling restrictions. State whether the equipment is ready for airport handover or needs securing and packing work first. Include the collection locations, destination handover point and required delivery date so that the preparation work and flight options can be reviewed together.
