The team reviews transport options and supporting logistics against the goods, collection point, destination and timing for each shipment.
Air, ocean, road and rail freight
Air freight can suit urgent, time-sensitive or high-value cargo. Ocean freight supports containerised goods, regular import and export movements and larger-volume shipments. Road freight connects suppliers, warehouses, ports, airports and delivery points, either on its own or as part of an international movement.
Rail freight is available through our Netherlands operation for suitable Eurasian and China-Europe shipments. The choice of mode depends on the cargo, route and required schedule.
Warehousing, distribution and supporting services
The Netherlands office can coordinate storage and onward distribution alongside the freight movement. This can connect an inbound shipment with a later delivery stage rather than treating each transport leg separately.
Import and export customs support, temperature-controlled logistics and cargo insurance can be arranged for suitable shipments. Project cargo is available on a limited basis and requires individual assessment. Tell the team about non-standard dimensions, weight or handling requirements before making transport arrangements.
Cargo acceptance and special requirements
We support automotive, industrial and manufacturing, high-tech and electronics, healthcare and medical, chemicals, consumer goods and FMCG, fashion and retail, and e-commerce shipments. Food products and personal effects are not accepted through the Netherlands office; renewable energy is not part of its industry scope.
Lithium batteries, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and high-value goods require a review of the actual shipment. For dangerous goods, contact the team before planning the movement so it can confirm whether the cargo can be accepted, including its classification, packaging, documentation and carrier requirements. Temperature-controlled capability does not extend the office's scope to food cargo.
Routes involving sanctions, high-risk destinations or licensing requirements need review before any shipment is agreed. A listed trade connection is not confirmation that every commodity or movement can be accepted.
Trade connections
The Netherlands office works with connections to the USA, China, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Import flows also include the UAE, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam.
These connections are starting points for a shipment discussion, not fixed schedules. Routing and supporting services depend on the goods and direction of travel.
