High-tech & electronics logistics

Electronics freight decisions need more than a carton count. Component availability, equipment value, fragility and battery content can all change the appropriate route and handling plan. FreightHub Logistics helps technology businesses bring those requirements into the shipment brief before transport is confirmed.

Our Netherlands, Germany and China offices support high-tech and electronics freight forwarding for suitable components, equipment and finished products.

Capability and risk questions

Different technology cargo, different planning priorities

Components for production: semiconductors, circuit boards, electronic assemblies, sensors and control units may need to reach a manufacturing or assembly location to a defined schedule. State the cargo-ready date, required arrival and handling instructions when asking about transport.

Technical equipment: servers, networking hardware, telecommunications equipment and industrial electronics need accurate dimensions, weights and packaging information. Declared value and any sensitivity to handling should be reviewed alongside the delivery plan.

Finished products and replacement stock: consumer and professional electronics, spare parts and replacement equipment may form planned inventory flows or urgent replenishment. Explain the receiving location and stock requirement so the transport comparison reflects the actual need.

High value and sensitive handling

High-value goods are supported in the Netherlands and China, with limited capability in Germany. Value alone does not define a suitable solution: packaging, fragility, static sensitivity, route and any special handling instructions also need review before booking.

Agree packaging and handling requirements explicitly. Where storage is part of the movement, suitability depends on the goods and the local arrangement. Germany also has limited oversized/overweight cargo capability for larger technical equipment.

Battery information changes the assessment

Lithium batteries are a supported commodity across all three offices, but this is not acceptance of every battery shipment. Classification, documentation, packaging, route and carrier requirements determine whether a particular movement can be arranged.

Identify the battery chemistry and condition, including whether batteries are shipped separately or with equipment, and provide the relevant product and classification information for assessment. Other regulated electronics cargo also needs review. Germany's dangerous-goods restrictions include radioactive cargo and Class 1.

Select transport around timing and cargo requirements

Air freight can suit urgent components and time-sensitive equipment. Ocean freight can suit planned, higher-volume shipments when the schedule permits. Road freight supports suitable regional and cross-border connections between suppliers, production sites, warehouses and customers. These modes are available through all three offices; rail is available through the Netherlands and China, not Germany.

How the shipment moves from brief to plan

1. Define the product, value, receiving need and required dates; identify batteries and handling sensitivities.

2. Review dimensions, gross weight and packaging against suitable transport options.

3. Review commercial and transport documentation, including dangerous-goods information where relevant.

4. Agree collection and any packaging, handling or warehousing scope, then coordinate the international movement with updates at agreed milestones.

5. Arrange delivery to the agreed production, warehouse, distributor or end-customer location.

Frequently asked questions

Can you assess high-value electronics moving through Germany?

Yes, for individual assessment. Germany's capability is limited, so value, routing and handling need confirmation before the shipment is accepted.

Does battery support mean any electronic product can travel by air?

No. Battery classification, packaging, documentation and carrier and route requirements must be checked for the particular shipment.
