Industrial & manufacturing logistics

Keep the production requirement at the centre of the freight decision. A missing component may need a different route from a planned machinery shipment; a large piece of equipment needs its weight and handling requirements understood before a schedule is agreed.

Industry facts / Office coverage

Listed offices

FreightHub Logistics supports industrial and manufacturing businesses through offices in the Netherlands, Germany and China. We arrange freight for suitable production inputs, machinery, replacement parts and finished industrial goods, matching the movement to the cargo and the delivery requirement.

01 / Cargo

Components, equipment and finished goods

Production inputs

For production inputs, the brief starts with the parts available for collection and when they are needed. Mechanical and electrical components, fabricated metal parts, plastics, rubber and suitable production consumables can form part of this flow.

Machinery

For machinery, the unit itself drives planning: machine tools, automation equipment, tooling and fixtures can differ substantially in dimensions, weight and packaging. Identify lifting, loading and unloading restrictions before comparing routes.

Finished goods

For finished industrial goods and aftermarket inventory, specify the consignee and delivery requirements as well as the international leg. Where storage or consolidation is needed, include it in the agreed scope rather than treating it as an assumed extra.

02 / Transport

Choose transport around the production plan

Air freight can suit urgent components or lower-volume equipment. Ocean freight is an option for planned, heavier or higher-volume cargo when the schedule permits. Road freight connects suitable suppliers, production facilities, warehouses and customers. These modes are available through all three offices; rail is available through the Netherlands and China, not Germany.

03 / Dimensions

Machinery outside standard freight dimensions

Oversized and overweight cargo is supported in the Netherlands and China and limited in Germany. Project cargo capability is limited in the Netherlands and Germany and available in China. Send individual piece dimensions and weights so that the movement can be assessed before equipment or handling arrangements are agreed.

High-value cargo capability is also limited in Germany. Dangerous industrial cargo needs classification and route acceptance; Germany's restrictions include radioactive cargo and Class 1. Transport engineering, lifting and site work should be agreed explicitly if needed, not assumed to be included with freight.

04 / Planning

How the shipment is planned

  1. 01

    Define the delivery need

Define the delivery need: routine replenishment, a replacement part or a planned equipment movement.

  2. 02

    Review the pieces

Review the pieces, packaging, weight, value and any handling restrictions; compare suitable modes against the required dates.

  3. 03

    Review documentation

Review commercial and transport documentation and agree who supplies product-specific supporting information.

  4. 04

    Coordinate collection

Coordinate collection and any agreed consolidation, then the international movement with updates at agreed milestones.

  5. 05

    Arrange delivery

Arrange the agreed delivery and supporting storage. Warehousing is available through all three offices; distribution is available through the Netherlands and China, not Germany.

05 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does every machine need project cargo handling?

No. Suitable machinery can move using standard freight. Dimensions, weight and handling requirements determine whether a separate project assessment is needed.

What information helps assess a non-standard load?

The dimensions and gross weight of each piece, packaging, loading and unloading restrictions, and relevant photos or drawings help define the movement. A total shipment weight alone does not describe the individual handling requirement.
