ROAD FREIGHT / DOMESTIC, EUROPEAN & INTERNATIONAL
Road freight for domestic, European and international shipments
Road freight can be the main transport mode or the link between suppliers, manufacturing sites, warehouses, ports, airports and customers. FreightHub Logistics provides road-freight solutions for domestic, European and international shipments where road transport is appropriate.

One plan for the road shipment
We coordinate collection, the road leg and the agreed handovers around it.
01 / SHAPE THE ROAD LEG
Road legs shaped around
the load and handovers.
Road freight can take a shipment from collection to delivery or connect it with a warehouse, port or airport. Share the pieces, packed dimensions, gross weight, stackability, collection and delivery points and required timing.
Collection to delivery
Road can be the main transport or connect an air or ocean shipment with its first or final stop.
Europe, UK and China-linked planning
The responsible office and partners are selected for the actual cargo and route. China-linked availability is shipment-specific.
Loading and delivery conditions
Access, loading and receiving constraints are checked with the road leg before transport is confirmed.
Choose the delivery type
LOAD, ROUTE & TIMINGLTL
Less-than-truckload
Shared vehicle space for a smaller consignment when the route, handling and delivery window allow consolidation.
Part-load space on a shared vehicle.
FTL
Full truckload
A dedicated load for shipments that need the vehicle capacity or a more direct collection-to-delivery plan.
One shipment using the vehicle.
Special transport
An individually assessed plan for cargo whose dimensions, handling, temperature or regulatory needs fall outside a standard load.
Reviewed shipment by shipment.
02 / SUPPORT AROUND THE ROAD LEG
Cargo support that travels
with the road plan.
Temperature-controlled cargo, dangerous goods, oversized freight and general cargo are reviewed against the route, vehicle and operating conditions.
TEMPERATURE RANGETemperature-controlled
Share the required range and monitoring needs at the start so suitable equipment can be checked.
Discuss temperature needs
CLASSIFICATION & DOCUMENTSDangerous goods
Provide the classification and documents for shipment-specific acceptance and route review.
Discuss dangerous goods
DIMENSIONS, WEIGHT & ACCESSOversized cargo
Dimensions, weight, lifting points and site access shape the vehicle and route assessment. Oversized or overweight cargo is limited in Germany and reviewed shipment by shipment.

PALLETISED & COMMERCIAL FREIGHTGeneral cargo
Palletised and other commercial freight is matched to the load type, route and delivery conditions.
Discuss a road shipment03 / FROM ENQUIRY TO DELIVERY
A road shipment with
clear handovers.
Each stage is confirmed for the actual cargo, route and services included in the shipment.
- 01
Review the shipment
Share the cargo, pieces, packed dimensions, weight, collection and delivery points, ready date and required timing.
- 02
Choose the load type
Full- or partial-load requirements are reviewed against the route and availability before a quotation is prepared.
- 03
Coordinate the road movement
Collection access, loading equipment, receiving hours and border requirements are checked with the road plan.
- 04
Deliver to the agreed point
Road can finish at the receiver or hand the cargo to a warehouse, port or airport included in the agreed solution.
04 / SHIPMENT STORIES
Road as the main leg,
or the link before the sea.
Examples of a Germany-to-Mallorca road-and-ferry movement and a Berlin road collection planned with a sea shipment to Las Palmas.
ROAD AND FERRY / GERMANY TO PALMA
Auto parts and showroom furniture to Palma de Mallorca
Automotive spare parts and showroom furniture moved by road from Germany to Barcelona or Valencia, then by Ro-Ro ferry to Palma de Mallorca. Full truckload or consolidated road freight was selected according to volume and urgency.
The road plan included the ferry crossing instead of treating it as a separate booking.

ROAD COLLECTION / BERLIN TO HAMBURG
Auto parts and showroom furniture collected for Las Palmas
Sixteen Euro pallets were collected by road from a Berlin warehouse and taken to Hamburg before travelling as less-than-container-load sea freight to Las Palmas. The road collection, shared container and destination delivery were planned as one multimodal movement.
The road collection was planned with the sea leg instead of as a separate booking.

What should we clarify
before planning?
Start with the cargo, collection and delivery points and timing. We can then review the load type and the handovers around the road leg.
Road freight and the handovers around it.
Netherlands, Germany and China offices can be involved. China-linked availability is shipment-specific.
Can road freight be used before or after air and ocean freight?
Yes. Road transport can handle collection before an air or sea leg and onward delivery afterwards when those handovers form part of the agreed multimodal solution.
Can FreightHub Logistics review a full or partial load?
Yes. Full- or partial-load requirements are reviewed against the route and availability before a quotation is prepared.
Is China-linked road freight always available?
No. Across Europe and the UK, and for suitable China-linked movements, each route is planned around the shipment, available capacity and the handovers at collection and delivery. China-linked availability is shipment-specific.
What should I send first?
Share the cargo description, piece count, packed dimensions and weight, collection and delivery points, ready date and required timing. Add loading, unloading, access or border constraints so the team can check the shipment.
