Capability and risk questions
Plan inbound stock around replenishment needs
Suitable inventory can move from suppliers and manufacturers as containerised freight or airfreight replenishment. Describe the goods, supplier locations and expected volumes, then identify the cargo-ready dates and receiving requirement. For recurring movements, include the expected shipment frequency.
A planned stock build may allow a different mode from an urgent replenishment. If several products or suppliers are involved, provide a breakdown so that the transport assessment reflects the actual consignments. State any warehousing requirement separately from the freight leg.
Time-sensitive and higher-value stock can be assessed, but cargo acceptance is not determined by its sales channel. High-value goods capability is available in the Netherlands and China and limited in Germany. Identify batteries, regulated products or other handling requirements before booking. Food products require assessment through China; the Netherlands does not currently accept food cargo.
Compare transport options for the inventory flow
Ocean freight can suit planned, higher-volume inventory. Air freight may suit urgent replenishment or other time-sensitive stock where the product is accepted. Road freight supports suitable regional movements and onward transport. These modes are available across the wider Netherlands, Germany and China network.
Rail is available through the Netherlands and China for suitable cargo, including appropriate Eurasian movements. It is not a Germany office service. The route and carrier still need to accept the actual products; an available mode is not a commitment to a particular delivery date.
Review the collection and receiving arrangements along with the main freight movement. The useful comparison is between complete agreed service scopes, not just an air, sea or rail leg considered on its own.
Warehousing and distribution within an agreed scope
Warehousing is available across the network for suitable inventory. Dedicated e-commerce industry support and distribution are through the Netherlands and China. Germany's general warehousing capability can support an agreed movement, but does not establish an e-commerce fulfilment service.
Confirm where the goods will be received, whether storage is needed and the required onward movement. Distribution through the Netherlands or China can be included where agreed. Import or export customs coordination can also be included through the relevant office within scope.
Freight is not parcel fulfilment
This offering focuses on inbound freight, suitable warehousing and agreed inventory distribution. It does not include pick-and-pack, consumer parcel fulfilment, returns management or marketplace integrations as standard services.
If your requirement includes individual online orders, specify that separately. Do not assume that general warehousing or distribution covers parcel delivery, a last-mile network or a fulfilment technology platform. Keeping the freight and fulfilment requirements distinct makes the scope easier to assess.
From inventory brief to recurring movements
1. Review supplier locations, goods, shipment frequency, volumes and destination markets.
2. Compare suitable air, ocean, road or rail options against urgency and the inventory requirement.
3. Review commercial and transport documentation and agree any customs coordination within scope.
4. Confirm the receiving and storage arrangements for suitable goods at the relevant location.
5. Agree onward distribution through the Netherlands or China where required and supported.
6. Plan recurring inbound movements around the agreed replenishment programme, with shipment communication arranged as part of the service.
Frequently asked questions
Which offices support e-commerce logistics?
The Netherlands and China have dedicated e-commerce industry capability. Germany may support its agreed freight, customs and warehousing services along a route, but is not a dedicated e-commerce or distribution office.
Can you move inventory from manufacturers to a warehouse?
Yes, suitable inbound inventory can be assessed for international freight and delivery to an agreed receiving location. Include the products, supplier locations, volumes and timing in the enquiry.
Do you offer pick-and-pack or manage returns?
Those are not standard services in this offering. Describe them separately if they are part of your requirement; do not assume they are included with storage or freight.
Can you support regular replenishment?
Yes, subject to product and route review and an agreed logistics programme. Share the expected frequency, volumes and receiving requirements so the flow can be assessed.
