FreightHub Logistics arranged a consolidated shipment of laboratory equipment from the Czech Republic to an educational institution in Dushanbe. The customer wanted delivery within 60 days and chose road transport rather than air freight to control the budget.
The consignment comprised seven transport cases weighing approximately 2,760 kg in total. The equipment included analytical instruments, measuring systems and glass components. Protection against vibration, impacts and changes in humidity mattered throughout the journey.
Packing fragile equipment for the road
FreightHub Logistics used rigid cases made from multilayer plywood with aluminium profiles, reinforced metal locks and handles. Internal shock-absorbing padding protected the equipment, while lashing straps secured the cases inside the vehicle.
Drivers received instructions on handling the fragile cargo. Additional straps and protective padding secured the cases in the trailer.
Crossing the Caspian between road legs
The recorded route ran through the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The Baku–Aktau ferry connected the road legs across the Caspian Sea.
FreightHub Logistics pre-booked ferry space as part of the transport plan. The customer received updates every 5–7 days, with border status and loading or unloading photographs.
Border checks and shipment records
The shipment underwent an additional inspection at the Turkey–Georgia border. In Kazakhstan, officials checked certificates of origin and the laboratory equipment documentation. FreightHub Logistics’ record lists CMR waybills, commercial invoices, T1 transit declarations and EUR.1 certificates of origin among the documents prepared.
Photo and video reports recorded the cargo at control points. The route required coordination beyond the initial collection, including the ferry crossing and checks during transit.
Delivery within the customer's requested window
FreightHub Logistics reports a door-to-door transit of 54 calendar days and says the equipment arrived intact. That result was within the customer's 60-day requirement.
The customer allowed a longer transport window to choose road freight instead of air, while requiring protective packing and regular progress reports. FreightHub Logistics does not quantify the cost difference.
Prepare a laboratory-equipment enquiry
Provide a packing list with case dimensions and weights, the equipment's handling limits and the required delivery date. Include collection and receiving addresses, unloading arrangements and any manufacturer instructions for shock or humidity protection. Agree the reporting needs and check the route and documentation requirements for the proposed movement before booking.
