FreightHub Logistics arranged air transport for a heavy-industry rotor bound for Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Packed in one metal crate measuring 520 × 165 × 180 cm and weighing 7,850 kg, the shipment required crane handling before it could leave Germany.

A crane at the airport

The project involved FreightHub Logistics’ Frankfurt and New York offices. The cargo first travelled by truck to Hahn Airport in Germany, where the team had arranged a crane to unload the oversized crate and place it in the airport warehouse.

Closing the transit movement at Hahn

The shipment travelled under a T1 transit declaration. At Hahn, FreightHub Logistics closed that declaration and prepared the customs documentation for departure from the EU.

The handover in Baku

The rotor reached Baku, Azerbaijan, after loading onto a freighter in Germany. At this stage, the onward flight to Uzbekistan was scheduled for the following day, with preparations in place for the next leg.

Prepare an oversized-cargo enquiry

Provide the packed dimensions and gross weight, a drawing of the crate and its lifting points, and the collection and delivery locations. Identify any lifting equipment available at either end and state the required delivery date. These details let the handling plan be considered alongside the air transport options.
