FreightHub Logistics arranged transport of three IBCs containing a water-treatment chemical from Germany to a customer's facility in Tashkent. The shipment travelled by road and crossed the Caspian Sea by ferry between Baku and Aktau.
Three containers with separate gross weights
Each intermediate bulk container measured 120 × 100 × 117 cm. Their gross weights were 1,262.5 kg, 1,261.5 kg and 1,267.5 kg, for a total of 3,791.5 kg. The shipment was handled as a non-hazardous industrial chemical.
The customer needed the containers to arrive without leakage or damage, within the agreed schedule and at a reasonable transport cost. FreightHub Logistics collected the IBCs from the manufacturing plant in Germany and added securing before departure.
Road transit and the Caspian crossing
The route ran from Germany through Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. At Baku, the cargo was loaded onto a ferry to Aktau in Kazakhstan. It then continued by road through Kazakhstan to Tashkent.
Preparing the shipment documents
FreightHub Logistics prepared a CMR consignment note, certificate of origin, material safety data sheet and supporting transit documentation for this movement. The paperwork accompanied the chemical cargo through the road and ferry stages.
Delivery in Tashkent
The IBCs reached the customer's facility in Tashkent within 12 business days, with no leaks or damage after the road journey, ferry crossing and border procedures.
Prepare an IBC-shipment enquiry
Provide the current safety data sheet, product description, container count, dimensions and individual gross weights. Describe the closures and any special handling or temperature requirements. Include the collection and receiving facilities, their loading equipment and the required delivery date. Classification and route suitability need to be assessed for the actual product and movement.
