Furniture and chandeliers for a new yacht were due to arrive from England, the USA and Colombia. FreightHub Logistics' team in Turkey had to bring the pieces together in Istanbul, hold them in a customs warehouse and arrange delivery during the yacht's arrival window at Göcek, in the Fethiye region.
Missing tables threatened the delivery window
The furniture from England and the USA was available, but the Colombian shipment was not ready to leave on time. It contained all the tables for the yacht. Waiting for that shipment would not solve the immediate outfitting task: the team needed replacement pieces and a way to get them aboard when the yacht docked.
The receiving conditions also shaped the plan. The yacht was arriving on a Saturday, so customs formalities and the handover at the marina had to be arranged around that specific call.
Replacement sourcing and a coordinated marina handover
The team bought the missing interior pieces in Bursa and arranged customs clearance for delivery aboard the yacht. These replacement pieces reached Göcek within two days.
A covered truck brought the furniture and chandeliers from Istanbul to Fethiye, a journey of 775 km. The team was waiting at the port when the yacht arrived. Imported goods had been held under a customs warehouse arrangement and moved under a transit procedure.
For the Saturday arrival, the team arranged a mobile customs point at the marina dock. The transit procedure was closed beside the yacht before the items were loaded aboard.
Furniture loaded aboard at Göcek
FreightHub Logistics completed the customs procedures and loaded the furniture and chandeliers onto the yacht. The outcome depended on replacing the unavailable tables as well as coordinating the warehouse, road movement and marina handover.
